Year 10 Try a Trade

In Week 9 of Term 3, a group of Year 10 students attended Rockingham Campus of South Metro TAFE for a three day Try A Trade in plastering and wall and ceiling. The students had a great time over the three days improving their plastering skills and learning the finer points of gyprock and its application.
These programs give the students a sense of independence getting themselves to and from the venue, a better understanding of the TAFE system and the associated trades and industries available to them as a career pathway. Thank you to the Construction Training Fund for sponsoring the courses and to Rockingham Campus for facilitating the three days.
