Welcome from the Head of Primary - Halls Head Campus
Welcome to Frederick Irwin Anglican School and the Halls Head campus. Our Primary School is a place in which our students are able to thrive. An environment in which they can pursue their interests, develop their inquiry skills and creative thinking, have a voice and be encouraged to reach their full potential. We understand that social emotional learning is just as important as our students’ academic development and our staff recognise that wellbeing and relationships are key to our students flourishing. We constantly strive to model and promote our Christian ethos and our Core Values of Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, Compassion, Courage and Inclusion.
As a school, we strive for excellence and our staff use teaching practices that are founded on evidence and best practice. The staff give their all each and every day to support our students’ growth, ensuring they have learning environments and programmes that are innovative, engaging and personalised.
Our campus is situated in the suburb of Halls Head and provides some unique opportunities for our staff and students. We are very blessed with a natural bush area in which our students are able to engage in nature pedagogy and cultural awareness. Our students are also able to walk to our local coastal environment and explore the beach as a learning community. Our wonderful campus continues to grow and I welcome you to our community at Frederick Irwin Anglican School.
Welcome from the Head of Primary - Meadow Springs Campus
It gives me immense joy to welcome you to Frederick Irwin Anglican School’s Meadow Springs Primary Campus. Our students are at the centre of our primary school, and we focus on developing the whole child in an environment where they are nurtured and challenged to flourish.
I am honoured to help foster a learning environment that is welcoming, joyful and buzzing with activity. Our passionate staff build learning programmes that connect to the real world and our students’ interests, spark curiosity and develop inquiry skills and creative thinking. We strive for excellence, implementing evidence-based practices supported by research. Staff ensure that learning environments and programmes are innovative, engaging and personalised.
We believe all staff are responsible for promoting student well-being and social-emotional learning. Our Core Values of Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, Compassion, Courage and Inclusion underpin this. It is important that children feel connected, valued, safe and secure so that their confidence and resilience will grow and they can strive to achieve their personal best. This strong foundation helps our children develop the ability to think beyond themselves and show care and compassion for others within our community and beyond.
Our campus is blessed to have a large amount of green space, including remnant bushland, where children participate in Bush Investigations. Our nature play areas highlight the importance of connection to the local environment and provide an engaging activity during break times. As our beautiful campus continues to develop and grow, I invite you to visit and feel the joy for yourself.
