As part of our learning extension program, several Year 5 teams participated in the annual WA Law Society Cluedunnit Australia program. This competition provides students with a fun, unique and creative learning experience where they investigate a fictional criminal offence to identify the prime suspect. The teams’ findings are submitted in a creative way. An in-school vote is held, as only one submission per school is allowed.

We are pleased to announce that the team entry, submitted by Operation WINK, placed Runner-Up in this competition, which had 77 submissions across Western Australia.

On Wednesday 23 July, students were invited to attend a ceremony at the Perth Children’s Court and meet the ‘real life’ lawyer who writes the challenge.

They heard from the Deputy Children’s Court Justice, Her Honour Judge Wendy Hughes, who spoke highly of all the participants and their creative and clever ideas. Her message was to continue to pursue their passions and make a positive difference in the world.

Congratulations to all who took part.
