FAQ

  1. What happens next?
Once the above steps have all been completed, your child/ren will be ready to start at FIAS! You will have their starting date in their Offer Letter.

  2. Do you offer an Orientation?
Yes we do - for all students starting Term 1, day 1, we offer an Orientation session one day before the start of school for the year. For new starters beginning throughout the year, an orientation day can be requested (tour and introduction to classroom teacher).

  3. What does my child need to bring to school?
Arrive at school in full uniform (check the uniform policy for Term requirements), water bottle, hat, sports uniform (for Years 3 to 6), food for recess and lunch (or purchase from the Canteen). Students can bring in their booklist items based on classes for the week and store in their classroom from day one. A BYOD laptop is required every day from Year 5 upwards - password and setup will be done through IT on their first day.

  4. When will my class information be available, and who will be my child/s' teacher/s?
Start of year students: this will be available at Orientation.
Throughout the year students: this will be given one day before commencement date, from the Registrar.

  5. First Day Arrangements - who will meet my child/ren and support them through their transition?
The Head of Primary, or Deputy Head of Primary, will meet new students at Reception before the start of the first school day, and check in with them across the week and into the Term.

  6. Point of Contact - who do I contact when I have further questions?
You can visit our Primary Meet Our Team to view who your relevant contacts are.

  7. Online Portals (SEQTA) - how do I login?
