Message from The Principal (Issue 15)

Mrs Tracey Gray welcomes everyone back to Term 4!
Head of Secondary (Issue 15)

Ms Jannine Webb is excited to see everyone return!
Dear Parents and Carers
I hope your families have enjoyed a relaxing break together. It has been great to welcome all students back for Term 4, which is a busy term with the Art Exhibition, camps, assessments, and the farewelling of our Year 12 students as they leave for further study or employment. This year, the Year 11 students will be expected to be back at school from Monday 24 November to Friday 5 December unless they are attending the Year 11 Outdoor Education Camp 24 - 28 November. Students will be reviewing their exams and preparing for Year 12 courses in 2026 in this time and may be provided with reading to complete over the holiday period.
Significant events this term
There are many events listed on the calendar for the Term. I have listed some of the key ones here for you. Please refer to the calendar and Consent2Go for specific year group events for your child.
- Tuesday 21 October: Year 12 Final Day and Presentation Evening
- Tuesday 2 December 4pm: Carols on the Green
- Wednesday 10 December 11:00am: 7-11 Presentation Assembly
Smartriders
While travel for students is free, students wishing to use the school bus service MUST have a smartrider with enough credit to cover their fare to board Transdev buses and trains. It is disappointing to see students failing to use their smartriders while using Transdev buses. Smartriders can be reordered for $5.00 at the library if they have been damaged, lost, or misplaced. Parents can link their FlexiSchools account to their child’s smartrider for use at the canteen. More information can be found on the school website.
I wish all students the best for the Term and welcome our new students to the school. I encourage students to finish the year strongly; as you approach assessments, prepare well for them and ask for help when you need it. A positive mindset and work you complete at the start of the term will stand you in good stead for assessments later in the Term.
Kind regards
Ms Jannine Webb

Mr Noah Clark is looking forward to our Term 4 events!
Dear Parents and Carers
Welcome to Term 4!
I hope the recent break was a refreshing time for families to relax and enjoy time together. As we begin this final term, students can look forward to a wide range of engaging lessons, meaningful learning experiences, and opportunities to set personal goals, something I’ll be discussing with all students in Week 1. Term 4 is such an important term, and we are looking forward to all the memorable moments it will bring. I also want to apologise for any confusion that the discrepancy in the student diaries created, regarding the Term 4 start date. I appreciate your understanding and will ensure we address the issue moving forward.
Partnering in Learning
A key priority this year, has been providing regular assessment feedback in English and Mathematics each term. This ongoing communication helps keep parents informed and involved in their child’s progress. If parents have any questions about assessments or learning programs, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s classroom teacher, as we genuinely value the partnership between home and school.
Learning Journey
Please join us for our Term 4 Learning Journey on Tuesday 5 November at 2.00pm. This special event is a wonderful opportunity for families to visit the classroom and explore the rich learning experiences their children are engaged in. Whether it’s our home classrooms, specialist learning areas, or listening to our talented choir, there’s so much to see and celebrate. Our previous Learning Journeys have received fantastic feedback, and we’re thrilled to continue offering these events.
Supporting Student Wellbeing
Our classroom teachers have been actively implementing the evidence-based Friendly Schools curriculum, which focuses on developing students’ social and emotional skills. Students learn to understand and manage their emotions, respect others’ perspectives, build positive friendships, and make thoughtful choices, all of which contribute to a safe, supportive, and friendly school environment. The program promotes self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, responsible decision-making, and relationship skills, and has been shown to reduce bullying and improve overall wellbeing. Teachers will continue to share updates with families on Seesaw, and we encourage parents to talk with their children about what they’re learning in these valuable lessons.
Calendar / Primary Events
To stay informed about upcoming events, we encourage all parents to regularly check the calendar available on our School website or by using the calendar on the school app. These calendars are updated as needed and remain the most reliable source of current information. While we recommend using the online calendar as your primary reference, I’ve included a brief table below highlighting some key Term 4 dates for your convenience.
