On Wednesday 14 May, some of our Year 5 and 6 students participated in the 2025 da Vinci Decathlon at UWA.

In this event, students compete in teams of eight across 10 disciplines: engineering, mathematics, code breaking, art and poetry, science, English, ideation, creative producers, cartography and legacy, which all tie into a specific theme chosen each year.

This year’s theme was Light. Our Year 6 team received an impressive third place in the Art and Poetry section! We had a lot of fun in this event, and even though we didn’t win, we worked extremely hard, enjoyed ourselves and represented our school with pride. Both teams brilliantly displayed our schools’ values throughout the day and should be very proud of their achievements.

We would like to thank Mrs. McRae and Mrs. Baker for preparing us for this event, and for taking us there.
