Year 11 Earth and Environmental Sciences Excursion

Secondary Subjects and Electives Friday, 18 Mar 2022

On a cool grey day, seven budding Geologists ventured off to explore the formation of Sedimentary rocks.

It was fun to work out the history of the Sandy Limestone rocks formed in four different layers at Peppermint Grove and make the connection between past climates, where it was warmer and higher seal levels and fossilized coral reefs at Cottesloe beach.

As a bonus, we got to see some of the exhibits of Culture by the Sea. A great day was had by all!
