Update on Operation Christmas Child
At the beginning of the term, the Year 6 House Captains from the Meadow Springs and Halls Head campuses helped collect and collate the Christmas shoeboxes for the Operation Christmas Child charity.
Our House Captains did a fantastic job of promoting and assisting with the shoe boxes. Charity Giving continues to be a significant part of our school traditions, and it is wonderful to see the students putting our Core Value of Compassion into practice in the broader community.
The gift-filled shoeboxes will be distributed to children in over 100 countries by Samaritan’s Purse, a Christian organization taking its name from the Good Samaritan Bible story.
Thank you to all the families for your contributions. In total, there were over 100 boxes filled with toys, clothes, hygiene items, school supplies, fun gifts and personalised items.
