Student Spotlight - Jake Stanesby

Congratulations to Year 9 student Jake Stanesby for his achievement at the recent Oceania Weightlifting Championships.
Jake represented Australia in the Youth Category in the 61kgs weight class.
His best Snatch was 75kgs and his best Clean & Jerk was 90kgs giving him a total of 165kgs and securing him the Bronze medal overall.
This is a huge achievement for Jakes's first International competition. He is currently the State and National Champion, and now adds third in the whole of the Oceania region.
