NAIDOC Assembly 2022

On Tuesday 26 July, the Secondary Campus held their NAIDOC Assembly. As part of the Assembly, Class of 2017 Alumni, Sean Hill, returned to the School to perform the Welcome to Country, including a very passionate speech about what NAIDOC means to him.

The students and teachers were then treated to an amazing performance by the Wadumbah Dance Group, who performed some traditional dances. Their dance leader Jimmy, talked about the symbolism of each dance, and highlighted the importance of NAIDOC Week for every student.

Elders George Walley, David Hill and City of Mandurah Councillors and Reconciliation Action Plan Committee members Cr Don Pember, Councillor Amber Kearns and Cr Ahmed Zilani were also present at the Assembly.
