ANZAC Services 2018

Wednesday 9 May 2018 concluded Frederick Irwin’s ANZAC Services for 2018, with a service being held for the Secondary School, Meadow Springs Primary and Halls Head Primary students in the first two weeks of Term 2.

During the School Holidays, Head Prefects Kiarah Kirk and Robbie Fieldwick represented the School at the Mandurah ANZAC Service by laying a wreath, while four of our Primary House Captains represented us at the annual RAAFA Estate ANZAC Service as flag bearers and wreath layers.

The Meadow Springs students were joined by residents of the RAAFA Estate for their service, and were pleased to welcome Mr Brian Dillon from the City of Mandurah RSL who spoke to the students about the importance of ANZAC Day.

Mr Fred Abbott from the RSL addressed our Halls Head students about the importance of ANZAC Day, and the importance of honouring those that have served and made sacrifices.

We would also like to thank Mr John Scott who represented the City of Mandurah RSL Sub-branch at the Secondary School service, as well as our parents and community members who joined us at the various ANZAC Services.

Lest we forget.
