Barrett House Day 2017

On Wednesday 8 March 2017, Primary and Secondary Barrett House students celebrated their House Day, commencing with the first ever Kindergarten to Year 12 Eucharist held in the Rush Chapel.

Father Noel led a Primary against Secondary singing competition (where Primary undoubtedly were the winners!), before encouraging reflection from all staff and students.

Following the Barrett Mascot Raffle being drawn by the Primary House Captains, Barrett students were then invited to attend a special lunch – a sausage sizzle for the Secondary students and a canteen order for Primary students.

Lunches were eaten quickly in excitement, as the Primary students joined the Barrett Year 12s and House Leaders for an extended games lunch, which included face painting, egg-and-spoon race, tug-of-war, sack races, soccer and flag-belt chasey.

Years 8 – 11 also enjoyed their Barrett lunch as they competed for points in a basketball hoops competition.

At the end of the extended lunch, Mr Clark gathered all Barrett students in a circle to thank all those who had helped to organise the day including Mrs Macnab (Head of House), Mrs Evans (Assistant Head of House) and Mrs Wade (House Coordinator).

What a great day!
