Freddie’s First Senior Girls AFL Team
For the first time in our School’s history, 23 students in Year 11 and Year 12 competed in the Fremantle Dockers Cup, Girls’ Football Competition.
Our Senior Girls’ Team was scheduled to play three games against competing schools within the Peel Region, although they only had the opportunity to play in one match, due to the other teams forfeiting. Despite these challenges, the Senior Girls’ Team still managed to record two wins and one loss!
The whole team trained for two months prior to the start of the competition, during lunch and before school, showing an incredible amount of commitment and effort. During this time, the girls aimed to improve their ball skills, on field structures and understand the game of football. They were disciplined and persistent at all times, always showing great attitudes towards each other, the coaches and training.
Congratulations to all the girls; you were all exceptional throughout the whole experience!
