Photos and video from the evening are available to view via our Facebook page, Instagram profile or the Latest News section of our website.

An email to Parents and Carers from Principal, Mrs Tracey Gray, was sent on Friday 11 November 2022.

Dear Parents and Carers

I am so excited to be able to invite you to my first ‘Carols in the Quad’ event! I am looking forward to seeing everybody there on the evening.

This event allows all our families to gather in a relaxed, informal setting on the grounds of our school to enjoy a casual meal together at sunset alongside well-loved Christmas Carols.

Please see the details below for the evening.

Date:    Tuesday 29 November 2022

4.45pm – 5.30pm: Families are invited on campus to set up in the amphitheatre area, participate in the face painting activity, and enjoy the food trucks we have booked.
5.30pm – 6.30pm: Our Music students will be performing a mixture of Christmas tunes for your enjoyment.
6.30pm – 8.00pm: The official event begins!

Location: Secondary Quad Amphitheatre.

Parking: Please park at the Gordon Road secondary car park, or the two Oakmont Avenue car park entrances. Overflow parking will be on the primary oval, and directed by the Grounds staff, if required.

Uniforms: Please note that this is a non-uniform evening

The Food Trucks that will be available on the evening are:

  • Black Velvet and Honey (beverages)
  • The Milky Monster (ice creams)
  • Baolicious (baos)
  • Nik's Place (burgers, chips, hot dogs) and
  • Base WF Pizza.

We have extended the start time so that families are able to spend the extra time ordering and enjoying their dinners before the main shows start. We encourage families to pack snacks in case the food truck lines prove popular!

We also recommend families bringing picnic blankets and camping chairs for comfort, as well as insect repellent. Please note that this year, we are asking families to only set up camping chairs at the top of the amphitheatre hill, so the view isn’t blocked for families on picnic blankets. (Please note: alcohol is not permitted at functions on the school property when children are present.)

If you would like to order a golden flickering candle on the evening, please pre-book at this link, by Thursday 24 November 2022. The candles are $2 each and will be organised by our Prefects on the evening, so please ensure you have the correct change on you.

Face painting will be available on the evening for a gold coin donation, run by our current Year 10 students. The collected funds will be going to The Peel Kitchen, Mandurah.

I am really looking forward to seeing so many of our school community members at this wonderful event!

Kind regards

Tracey Gray
