Gordon House Fundraiser – Year 5/6 Disco
For 2017, Gordon House has decided to dedicate all funds raised throughout the year to Breast Cancer Care WA.
Breast Cancer Care WA has provided personalised emotional, practical and financial support and care to people affected by breast cancer since 2000, in Western Australia.
Well done to the Gordon House Council members and House Assistants who successfully organised and ran their first fundraising event for Breast Cancer Care WA in week 7 of Term 2! The Year 5 and Year 6 disco saw approximately 150 students bust their moves on the dance floor, raising over $900 for Breast Cancer Care WA. The night was packed full of games, refreshments and even some intense dance-battles.
A special thank you must be given to Bernard from Party Sounds Professional DJ Services who has been a great supporter of Frederick Irwin Anglican School over the years, and our charity fundraisers. A massive thank you also to our Gordon Year 11 and Year 12 students who gave up their Friday evening to chaperone the event. Without their support and commitment these events would not take place.
Mrs Watts and Miss Pyke would like to thank to staff who attended the evening to show their support, and who were also sighted on the dance floor, Mrs Sue Skehan, Mrs Sue Kirke, Mr Noah Clark, Mrs Kerry Roberson and Mr Andrew Pennycott.Tags:
