Enrolments
Enrolment Procedure:
Parents who wish to have their child considered for enrolment at Frederick Irwin should forward a completed application form accompanied by a non-refundable processing fee of $65.00 (Inc. GST) and copies of the two most recent school reports where appropriate. This action ensures that your child´s name is placed on the appropriate year list, and because of this, parents are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
Please note that the acceptance by the School of an Application for Admission form and the non-refundable processing fee, does not guarantee an interview for enrolment or an offer of enrolment.
In the 24 months preceding the possible year of entry the families of those students being considered are invited to attend an interview with the Principal, Director of Studies or Head of Primary as appropriate, and if the interview is successful a place will be offered.
At this time prospective student families are required to complete the Enrolment Form and pay the appropriate Enrolment Fee as confirmation of acceptance of the offered position.
Enrolment Fee:
An Enrolment Fee will be payable at the time a confirmed placement is accepted for a student entering Frederick Irwin. This Fee when paid will be credited to the School Endowment Fund and is non-refundable.
The Enrolment Fee will be payable at the time the first student family member is offered a placement at the School. No further Enrolment Fee will be payable for subsequent student siblings attending concurrently.
In previous years the Enrolment Fee has represented 25% of the Annual Tuition Fee for a Year 12 student applicable at the time of placement for students entering in the years from Kindergarten through to and including Year 10. Commencing 2013 the Enrolment Fee will be capped for two (2) years and the following rates apply:
- $1300 per family for students entering Kindergarten to Year 10
- $650 per family for students entering Year 11
- $325 per family for students entering Year 12
Should a family subsequently enrol a sibling in any year below Year 11, it will be necessary for a top-up payment to be made to bring the Enrolment fee up to the Years K-10 amount.
The Enrolment Fee is a commitment to the School that the student will take up the position stated in the formal Letter of Offer.
If the student does not take up the offer and/or a transfer to another year is requested, the Enrolment Fee will be forfeited, unless the withdrawal results from the parent receiving an employment transfer interstate or overseas.
