Research
The need to carry out your own research is becoming increasingly important. Learning to do this research is just like learning another subject. You need to learn new skills, practise them and be able to apply these skills across all subject areas.
These skills include how to:-
- Define the purpose of the research
- Locate where the information can be found
- Select what is useful information
- Organise the information
- Present the information in an effective way
- Evaluate or review have you completed what you set out to do
You can use many sources to find the information from both within the School and outside the community. The School library is a great place to start, but you need to find out where things are.
