House Allocation
On entering Frederick Irwin, children are placed in a House and remain a
member of that House for the duration of their time at the School. Children cannot
choose which House as we endeavour to keep a balance in the House numbers. Brothers and
sisters are members of the same House.
The four Houses are:
ELLIS [Marle Grey]: Named after Mr Anthony Ellis who was, until 1993,
the Executive Officer of the Anglican Schools Commission. House Coordinator
is Mr Daniel Harrop.
GORDON [Mid Green]: Our School is in Gordon Road and our uniform consists
of the plaid of the Gordon family tartan. House Coordinator is Mrs Sara Brown.
JAMIESON [Royal Blue]: Named after The Right Revd Hamish Jamieson, who was
the Bishop of Bunbury before his retirement in November 1999. House Coordinator
is Mr Michael Fic.
ROSE [Red]: Dr Brennan Rose was the Foundation
Chairman of the School Council.
House Coordinator is Mrs Jenny Crutchett.
Each teacher is also allocated to a House and organises activities for the members
of that House. Activities include Special Events, Assemblies and Sporting Activities.
Each House has students elected to positions of responsibility to assist and support
House teachers in various activities which allow students to earn points in the House competition.
