Careers
The Careers programme at our School has a focus towards Year 10 students as they prepare
to make subject choices for Years 11 and 12.
All students in Year 10 participate in a brief course during Term 1 where they explore
some of the fundamental issues surrounding career development. This includes using the
'Self Directed Search' tool to gain a better understanding of who they are and what
preferences and attitudes they have which could influence career choice.
Students in Years 11 and 12 are provided with regular updates about university and
TAFE options including open days and course information evenings. In Term 3, Year 12
students have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with University and TAFE representatives
to discuss course options for the following year.
All students have the opportunity during school time to make appointments with the Career Advisor.
